Do you rely on a pattern to decide your quilt colors, or do you reach outside the box? I've always been a rebellious sort when reading instructions. I'm going to do what I want to do. Started working on the Big Blue Beast on December 19, and just finished it up yesterday. King size confetti star quilt using Riley Blake's "Blue Jean" colorway. Backing is a wideback ombre from Missouri Star. Used the quilt as you go strip method which was more than challenging with all those points. Half inch binding machine sewn on front, hand sewn on back to finish off. Off to client after a wash and dry.
