💰total cost: $0 for pallets and $30 on goodwill for used kitchen utensils. We still need a kitchen sink (keeping my eyes out for a free one)

Easy little project that took us the entire day but we did it! 🎉
💛This has been long overdue. Hopefully it’ll keep the boys from digging holes in the backyard and away from my kitchen utensils (here’s for hoping!)
💛we’ll adjust/add more with time
💛This project was much needed and spending the day out in the sun using these rusty muscles was such a great feeling!!

Easy little project that took us the entire day but we did it! 🎉
💛This has been long overdue. Hopefully it’ll keep the boys from digging holes in the backyard and away from my kitchen utensils (here’s for hoping!)
💛We still need a kitchen sink (keeping my eyes out for a free one) and we’ll adjust/create as needed.

Nursery reveal! Finally!
I guess I’m glad this little Turkey took 41 weeks to get here because it’s the time I needed to finish this room up! 😅
I’ll *try* to post a reel soon but the process and before pictures are in the bubble “nursery”.
This was a very budget friendly project- marketplace furniture, “oops! section” Paint at Home Depot, DIY mirror, DIY window framing, and of course, hand me downs from his brothers.
We never really had a nursery before for our other two boys (or a crib!) so it’s been extra sweet putting this bedroom together with my own two hands.

I remember in school when I was punished for not being enough, not doing enough, not being able to write numbers 1-100 and not being allowed to go to recess, not being able to play sports because of my low grades in certain classes.
And then there were the classes where I thrived: award winning art student, P.E., and three times science fair winner. But my accomplishments never seemed enough. Those didn’t matter! Everything I was good at didn’t matter. And so I buried my accomplishments and felt shame. And years and years of not feeling ENOUGH followed.

Im here to tell you, you are enough. In your uniqueness, your own light, your talents and whatever else is considered “outside the box”, There’s no one else like you. And darling, you are beautiful!

I’m done!!!! 4 days later and we have
Baseboards
Trims
Bench
Painted walls and ceiling
Painted grout
New light fixture
Rug
Hooks
And so much cleaning! Turns out not having baseboards in the basement makes things real dirty!

I plan on hanging some family pictures but we’ve been in this house for 3 years and I still haven’t printed any 😬 so I’m using some of my paintings for now.

Guys, I was able to do all of this in a budget. I’ll add up the exact numbers and share with you soon. This isn’t a difficult project to tackle, in fact, if you’re looking for a first DIY project; this board and batten wall is a great one place to start!
You don’t even need power tools! I started DIYing with a regular saw and a hammer!
