Thirty years of design leaves marks you don't always notice until you stop and look back. In her latest piece for Arbus Magazine, Marsha reflects on the craftspeople, the clients, and the city that quietly shaped everything she does.
A few of those lessons, here.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor those who gave everything in service to our country.

Their sacrifice reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy—including the privilege to gather safely in the homes we love—came at the highest cost.

Today, we remember with gratitude and respect.

The gold details woven through this Coconut Grove interior design tell the whole story, from brass kitchen hardware to gilded mirror frames, every room in this Miami residence glows from the inside out.

There is a particular freedom in designing a small space well. When square footage is limited, the design budget concentrates, and that concentration allows for materials that a larger home might dilute across too many rooms. Mohair. Wool. Linen. Natural textiles that reward the senses and hold their beauty over time. Studio M has always believed that luxury is not a matter of scale. It is a matter of intention.

To the women who shape our earliest understanding of home—who fill spaces with warmth, turn houses into havens, and teach us that the most beautiful designs are built on love.

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures whose influence extends far beyond four walls. You are the architects of our most cherished memories.

Happy Mother's Day to all who nurture, inspire, and create homes where hearts belong.

Sometimes the most transformative move is also the simplest. When Studio M inherited this Coconut Grove condo, every hinge, handle, and cabinet pull was commercial-grade brushed stainless, functional, forgettable. As the palette shifted toward cream, toast, and soft touches of black, the answer became clear: brass and bronze, applied with intention. A single detail added to every interior door took a basic slab and elevated it into something quietly refined. One decision. Every room.

Luxury bathroom design as a daily ritual. From a bold Gucci heron wall covering in the powder room to serene marble in the primary bath - three bathrooms, three entirely distinct worlds.

This Cinco de Mayo, we're celebrating layers—in design and in our favorite guacamole.
Our go-to recipe for gatherings:

3 ripe avocados, mashed
Juice of 1 lime
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup red onion, finely diced
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: diced tomatoes for color

Mix gently, leaving some texture—perfection lies in the balance.
Just like a well-designed space, the best guacamole respects each ingredient's role while creating something greater than the sum of its parts.
