We have been working on self portraits in the art enrichment workshop. Everyone painted their backgrounds, choosing their own colors, we took photos and had them printed, they glued them down and I printed a bunch of sentences and phrases that they could select to add to their portrait that tells us a little bit about who they are. They also typed something extra from the heart about what they wanted others to know about them. The final pieces were so special! I will share them more closely once we get them all cleaned up and add their names! So proud of these guys 🤩👏🏼👍

What an exciting day with Gentry as we brought 3 large pieces over to where they will soon live in their new space, currently under construction. We have been working on these together for several weeks at ! 🤩 👆This is such confirmation… this is why I am passionate about supporting the special needs community. The 1:1 connection she was able to make with me while creating and with the outside world with her art out there for so many others to experience! INCREDIBLE 👏🏼

Had a fabulous painting session with Gentry while we also recorded some of the process! Stay tuned for the video and interview 😱🤩… her stamina has improved so much to keep creating and slowing down. The rain stopped us short but she’s come such a long way, 18 months ago she was painting super fast and ready to be done in 15 min.

Very excited to have sold this original art “Emeralds in the Sea” a collaboration with Gentry Gudal, a resident artist at Peace of Heart. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Fall Festival on Saturday! As I was explaining her process to the buyer I was reminded of how much I have learned from working with her each week. The freedom in which she paints and feels the paint it’s so refreshing! This one started out with rich purples and week after week we layered on more paint and let water play into the paint. 👉You can still purchase prints and merch of this piece at any size and on multiple mediums on my website. thank you for all you do for this community. Not only are your residents and participants benefitting from the rich programs you are creating but so am I. Every week we grow too as artists and individuals collaborating with together on art and life. On top of that my children benefit as well with the amazing farmer in the Dell after school program to their school next door. My kids have gained so much confidence in the gardens and on the farm with friends. We hit the jackpot!
