When war forced millions of people to flee their homes in Ukraine, one woman made a decision that touched hearts around the world: she refused to leave her dog behind. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

Alisa Teptiuk was escaping Kyiv with her family as the conflict intensified. Like countless others, she faced an uncertain journey to safety. But there was one family member she was determined to protect at all costs: her elderly dog.

As roads became crowded and transportation options grew limited, Alisa found herself carrying her aging companion on her shoulder for 17 kilometers, nearly 11 miles. The journey was exhausting, but abandoning him was never an option.

Later, Alisa shared that she simply could not imagine leaving her beloved dog behind. While many people would have understood the difficult circumstances, she chose loyalty instead. Step after step, she carried the dog she loved toward safety.

A photograph of Alisa carrying her senior pup quickly spread around the world, becoming one of the most powerful images to emerge from the humanitarian crisis. In the middle of fear, uncertainty, and displacement, it served as a reminder that love and compassion can endure even in the darkest moments.

Dog lovers understand that our pets are never "just animals." They are family. They share our homes, our routines, and our hearts. For Alisa, that bond was strong enough to carry her through nearly 11 miles of hardship.

Her story continues to inspire people because it shows what devotion truly looks like. When everything else was being left behind, she made sure her best friend came with her. šŸ•ā¤ļø

A panda has gone viral after copying its zookeeper’s walking style almost perfectly.

The zookeeper walked past with a relaxed, hands-behind-the-back posture.

Moments later, the panda stood up on its hind legs and did the same thing.

Slow steps.

Paws tucked behind its back.

Same casual attitude.

It looked less like an animal copying a human and more like a tiny furry supervisor inspecting the enclosure.

The clip quickly spread online because people could not get over how intentional it looked.

Pandas are already famous for being clumsy, dramatic, and strangely human.

But this one took it to another level.

One zookeeper walked by.

One panda watched.

And then the panda gave the internet the perfect impression.

The viral moment happened at the San Diego Zoo when a sea otter father unintentionally stole attention from his own newborn pup by proudly holding up a rock to visitors.

Sea otters are famous for carrying favorite rocks because they use them as tools to crack open shellfish like clams, mussels, and sea urchins. Many otters even keep these rocks in loose skin pouches under their arms and can use the same ā€œfavoriteā€ rock for years.

While the mother carefully presented their tiny pup, the father appeared more interested in showing off his prized stone, creating a hilarious contrast that quickly spread online.

But beneath the humor is something fascinating, sea otters are among the few animals known to regularly use tools, a sign of advanced problem-solving intelligence.

Male sea otters are also usually less involved in raising pups compared to mothers, who spend months grooming, feeding, and constantly carrying babies to keep them from drowning.

This grandma was spotted at a park celebrating her dog's birthday with a cake. The sweetest thing, though, is that the dog didn't seem to care about the cake at all. The dog didn't even look at the cake. Instead, it was only looking at grandma with eyes so full of love.

Dear Facebook Friends:
It is with a heavy heart (and aching joints) that I am announcing my official retirement from bowl turning. I actually finished my final piece this afternoon. The past 10-or-so years have been a great joy to me and have allowed me countless hours in which to develop and exhibit a level of creativity that I hadn’t realized previously (not to mention that it also kept me in my shop enough that Karen & I didn’t choke the crap out of each other)!
Thank you to those of you who were generous enough to provide me with the occasional log or two, and to those of you who were supportive enough to invest in the purchase of my finished work. Especially those who were my very special repeat customers! Speaking of…I still have a remaining inventory of approximately 40-ish unique, ā€œone-of-a-kind piecesā€ that are currently available. You can shop on my Facebook site JACK-A-RONDACK, under the ā€œPhotosā€ tab, the Album is titled ā€œShop Hereā€.
Thanks again to you all. Love, Jack
