We had a great time at the farm yesterday! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and took a look at what we had. We really appreciate it!

A big thank you to JS Lowland Cattle for having us out. We enjoyed being part of the event and getting to meet everyone.

Here are a few pictures from the event and an edge grain cutting board we finished. Unfortunately, we didn't get as many pictures as we would have liked, but we're trying to get better at that. 😁

Tried out a new finish on the flags and so far it’s been great! They’re still drying, so it was hard to get some good pictures.

So here are a few pictures from when we first got the Altmill CNC machine. Setup was definitely time consuming, but well worth it.

Speaking of time consuming, here’s a video of carving 50 stars with a Dremel! 😂

We’re planning on making a video showing the whole process from start to finish on our next flags.

A few flags we have been working on.
Each one is handmade and a little different than the next. A lot of time and effort into each one, two of these are being donated. The third one will be for sale soon at our next vendor market.🇺🇲

After a long week getting ready and a long weekend at our first vendor market, we cleaned up the shop and have been trying to get reorganized.

So of course, on a Tuesday afternoon, the only logical thing to do is put everything to the side and put the laser engraver to work on a new hat because I love hats and who doesn't?

Since I haven't shown the clean shop, here's a video of part of the process of making one of our flags.

Also, notice Levi in the video? It's hard to believe he's the same dog in the last picture lol. We also find it hard to believe this is the same shop. It seems the dog has gotten bigger and the shop has gotten smaller.

We just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who came out and supported us this weekend. It really means a lot and we appreciate everyone who stopped by and showed us some support.
We also changed up the look of our booth for the second day, so here are a few pictures of how it turned out and one picture of the tags that Christina was able to create. We’re still learning and figuring things out, but we’re having a great time with it.
Thanks again to everyone who came out!

Here are a couple White Oak wh***ey smokers I have been working on.

White Oak is a great wood for wh***ey smokers, and these turned out pretty nice.

Here are some unfinished cutting boards. Figured I’d share a few pictures of what’s currently on the workbench. Still got a little work to do on them, but we’re getting there. Still need to be squared up, sanded, have the juice grooves added and then oiled up.

We’re trying something new with a few of these and turning them into bread boards. We’re pretty excited about how they’re going to turn out.

More to come once they’re finished.

Well, I guess it’s time to finally make our first post. We have been holding off waiting on the perfect time and we realized that will never come.

Welcome to Old River WoodWorks

We’re getting ready for our first vendor market this weekend, so the shop is definitely not at its cleanest right now. There’s a lot of sawdust, unfinished projects and quite a few things that still need to get done, but that’s what’s happening around here as we get ready.

I figured there was no better time to start sharing what we’re doing than right in the middle of it. Gotta start somewhere.

We’ll be sharing some of the projects we’re working on, finished pieces and a little of what goes on behind the scenes here in the shop.

Here’s a look at where things stand as we get ready for this weekend.
