Simply Beautiful Interiors Hello! My name is Laura Carter. I am the owner and creator at Simply Beautiful Interiors, formally Custom View Draperies. I've been sewing for over eleven years.

Specializing in custom sewing services for retail clients and to the trade for window treatments, pillows, indoor & outdoor cushions, slipcovers, bedding, bed skirts, and light upholstery. ients with excellent, friendly service while providing a high level of quality in their custom fine home goods. I began sewing when I was pregnant with my second born girl. I started sewing handcrafting bags and wallets while doing clothing alterations occasionally. As I gained experience with home decor sewing, I began to see the need for more professional workrooms. As my interest in this area grew, I decided to open a workroom of my own. I absolutely love seeing the transformation of two dimensional fabrics into three dimensional beautiful draperies, cushions, pillows and reupholstery furniture. I am pleased to be apart of this incredible field of professionals! I am married to my wonderful husband, Tommy. Together we have 3 lovely girls! We live in Jacksonville, FL area. Where we enjoy summer life most of the year round. My ambition is to be present in my family's life as I do creative work that simultaneously satisfies my creative spirit. They are one of my most treasured gifts!

I had the most wonderful time at the Custom Workroom Conference in Kingsport, Tennessee! I had the privilege of learning under highly talented, greatly experienced leaders in my industry. I was also so blessed to meet so many new friends. I look forward to seeing all of their businesses grow and thrive in the coming years.

Our Story

At In Shadowed Wings LLC, we create high quality, handcrafted bags, wallets and accessories. Every material is carefully considered in order to produce lasting products with excellence. The workmanship of the products is one of the highest priorities. Every handcrafted item is created with a high attention to detail. We strive to constantly think of the customer and their potential needs and desires. We equally strive to provide excellent customer service. One of the fabrics we use often is cork. We love cork because it is a wonderful naturally sustainable fabric. It is harvested from the Cork Oak Tree (Quercus Suber). It is only harvested every 7-10 years and typically only once a tree reaches about 25 years old. Harvesting is done by manual labor and does not kill the trees. The harvesting the bark then regrows. It is cultivated in Spain, Portugal, Morrocco, Italy and further. It is vegan and PETA friendly. It is antimicrobial, therefore it will not mold or mildew and hypoallergenic. It’s water resistant and wipe-able for cleaning. We also use cottons and other fabrics, but cork is by far our favorite for these many reasons! Our ambition is that In Shadowed Wings LLC would benefit society in more ways than just contributing to the marketplace. We want to make an eternal impact in the world. For this reason, a portion of all In Shadowed Wings LLC profit goes to Christ-centered charities. These charities fluctuate over time, but the objective remains steadfast. To support ministries that focus on meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those in need.
