Aquired this beautiful Limoges french porcelain mug the other day. It was made between 1891 - 1907. The secondary purple marking shows it was factory decorated by Tressemann and Vogt - probably in their workshop in Limoges, France before being exported to the USA through their NYC offices.

Values on china today are 'all over the place' but quality, professionally decorated pieces such as this range today from $70 - $200. The gold banding and surface are in excellent condition.

I'm looking forward to enjoying some tasty b**rs from this delightful mug!

I recently got excited about a local estate sale that had these wonderful juggling props. For decades, Jamestown, NY was the center for juggling in the world - primarily due to prop maker Harry Lind. His clubs, etc were the best available and he handmade them for 40 years (until the early 1960s) at his home in Jamestown (right near our current home!). I first learned of Mr Lind while researching stage props in Las Vegas and to actually hold...and sorta juggle...his actual work was a true thrill for me.

I'm pleased to state that a rather famous juggler flew here from California and beat me to buying them. No problem for me as it was an honour to meet someone else who truly appreciates the art in these clubs.

You just never know what will turn up in an estate sale, so keep going to them!

We are headed back to Indiana for the 2026 Pyrex and Kitchenware Show. It was a fantastic show last year with loads of great Pyrex items showing up. The location is in a showroom attached to a large antique mall. Well worth the visit.

The Babe Ruth 13 year old baseball World Series is back in Jamestown, NY for another great 2 weeks of championship baseball. I saw this Babe Ruth advertising piece last week and thought it would be a good time to share it. A bit pricey for the condition, but a nice piece of advertising history!
