October is Window Covering Safety Month, and this is one design detail that matters far beyond looks.

Homes with young children and pets deserve window treatments designed with safety in mind. Cordless and motorized options eliminate accessible operating cords while giving you plenty of choices for light control, privacy, and style.

If you have older window coverings in your home, October is a good reminder to take a closer look at how they operate.

Our team can help you explore today's cordless and automated window treatment options and find a solution that works beautifully for your home and the people who live there.

Coming to High Point for Market next week? You might just be staying with some of our work.

We were proud to fabricate the custom draperies for SpringHill Suites by Marriott at Congdon Yards in High Point, including treatments for these soaring windows.

Projects on this scale call for the same things we value in residential work—thoughtful planning, careful fabrication, and attention to how the finished treatment relates to the architecture—just on a much larger scale.

So if SpringHill Suites is home during your High Point Market visit, take a look up. Those draperies came through our local workroom.

And yes, Window Works Studio does hospitality and commercial window treatments, too.

You can read all about this project on our blog ➡️ windowworksstudio.com/custom-two-story-drapery-high-point-springhill-suites/

How about a little upgrade for your home — one you'll appreciate every single day?

Motorized shades can welcome morning light, manage afternoon glare, add evening privacy, and adjust on a schedule without you giving them another thought.

And now through the end of the year, there’s an added reason to explore automation: free PowerView® Automation on qualifying Provenance® Woven Wood Shades (seen here) and Aria™ Soft Blinds.

As a Hunter Douglas dealer and longtime motorization specialists, we can help you choose the right window treatments, then handle the measuring, installation, programming, and setup.

Consider it a head start on holiday gifting, for the house, of course. 😉

The finished room may look beautifully pulled together. Getting it there takes a lot of moving pieces.

Measurements. Fabric calculations. Hardware. Pattern placement. Fabrication. Timelines. Installation. And usually a little problem-solving somewhere along the way.

As a full-service drapery workroom in the Piedmont Triad, we manage those details from beginning to end, keeping an eye on the big picture while our clients and design partners stay focused on theirs.

That’s what partnership means to us — knowing the details are in experienced hands, all the way through installation.

There’s something special about watching an idea move from a sketch and a bolt of fabric to a beautifully finished space.

For this residential project for Ethan Allen in Winston-Salem, NC, our in-house workroom created this tailored bed canopy, a custom detail that adds softness, structure, and a beautifully layered finish to the room.

Projects like this are where our love of textiles and craftsmanship truly comes to life. From thoughtful construction to the final stitch, each piece is carefully made to complement the vision for the space.

Beautifully designed. Meticulously crafted. Made right here in our workroom.

You’re not going to find this one in a catalog. And that’s exactly the point. ✨

An intricate top treatment like this takes experience, careful planning, and some seriously talented hands to get every curve, fold, pattern, and proportion just right.

This is where having an in-house workroom really opens up the possibilities. We aren’t limited to what comes in a standard size or what someone else has already designed. If we can thoughtfully engineer it, our experienced fabrication team can bring it to life.

Custom should actually feel custom. At Window Works Studio, we make sure it does.

One room is a project. A whole home is a lot of moving pieces.

For our interior design partners, we can manage the window treatment portion from room to room—measuring, sourcing, engineering hardware, fabricating, tracking orders, and coordinating installation while keeping the larger design vision in sight.

Each room can have its own solution without the home feeling disconnected.

That’s what we mean when we say we want to take window treatments off your plate. You keep designing the whole story. We’ll make sure the windows tell their part beautifully.

Interior designers throughout High Point, Greensboro, and the Piedmont Triad can learn more about working with our full-service workroom through our To the Trade program.

This is how a room starts talking to us.

A pattern we love. A texture that gives it depth. A color pulled from one fabric and echoed in another. Before anything is cut or sewn, there’s this part... The playing, pairing, and seeing what happens.

Having access to an extensive library of designer textiles, including beautiful collections from our friends at Greenhouse Fabrics, gives us plenty to play with.

Which one catches your eye first?

09/21/2026

Before we recommend a shade, pull a fabric, or measure a window, we listen.

How does the room feel in the afternoon? Where do you need privacy? What drives you crazy about the windows now? What do you love and want to keep?

There are thousands of window treatment options out there. Our job is to help you narrow them down to the ones that make sense for your home and the way you live.

That’s where good custom design begins.
