A completely different bathroom — without a completely new bathroom. ✨

We kept the existing vanity, countertop, flooring, faucet and toilet and focused the budget on the changes that would make the biggest impact.

Bold wallpaper + board and batten + new lighting + mirror + black accents = a whole new space.

Sometimes the best design decision is knowing what doesn't need to be replaced. 🤎

What Happens Before Demo Day

Everyone sees the before and after photos.

Very few people see what happens before construction begins.

Before demo day we are:

- Reviewing layouts
- Building renderings
- Finalizing selections
- Ordering materials
- Coordinating contractors
- Creating timelines

The planning stage is where successful remodels are made.

When construction begins, we want every major decision already made.

That's how projects stay on budget, on schedule, and on vision.

Renovating doesn't automatically mean replacing everything.

This bathroom already had functional pieces that could stay — they just needed a new design around them.

By keeping the expensive pieces and changing the elements with the biggest visual impact, we gave this little bathroom an entirely new personality.

WHAT WE KEPT

One of the first questions we ask isn't “What should we replace?”

It's “What can we keep?”

For this bathroom, that answer was quite a bit.

We kept the existing:
✓ Oak vanity
✓ Countertop + sink
✓ Faucet
✓ Toilet
✓ Flooring

Instead of spending the budget replacing perfectly functional pieces, we put the design focus where it would have the most impact.

Wallpaper. Wall treatment. Lighting. Mirror. Hardware. Accessories.

The result feels like an entirely different bathroom — without an entirely new bathroom price tag.

Good design doesn't always mean starting over.

THE DETAILS

The details are what made this little bathroom.

The floral wallpaper brought in the drama, but pairing it with the muted green-gray wall treatment kept the room grounded and gave the existing warm wood something to connect with.

Then we repeated the darker tones with the black mirror and accessories and kept the countertop and plumbing finishes light.

🌿 Black accents
🌿 Soft neutral countertop + flooring

Nothing is competing for attention — but nothing feels boring either.

And that wallpaper? Definitely the star. 😍

From the design plan → to real life. ✨

Before anything went on the walls, we were able to visualize how all of the pieces would work together — the dark floral wallpaper, painted wall treatment, round mirror, lighting and existing warm oak vanity.

That planning stage matters, especially when you're mixing something bold with finishes that are already staying in the room.

The goal wasn't to make the existing oak disappear. It was to choose finishes that made it feel intentional again.

And seeing the rendering turn into the finished space might be one of our favorite parts of the design process. 🤎

THE BEFORE & AFTER

Proof that you don’t have to gut a room to completely transform it. 🤍

This half bath already had several things worth keeping — the oak vanity, countertop, flooring and toilet were all in good condition.

Instead of replacing everything, we focused on the pieces that would make the biggest visual impact.

A bold floral wallpaper, painted board-and-batten, a new round mirror, updated lighting and black accents completely changed the personality of this little room.

Same vanity. Same countertop. Same flooring.
Completely different bathroom.

Sometimes good design isn’t about replacing more — it’s about knowing what to keep and where to make an impact.
