Someone recently asked if I use AI to make my babies look realistic in their photos. I don’t—what you’re seeing is the actual doll, carefully posed and photographed by me! 🎀📸 Here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek at today’s photo shoot. 💕
On Saturdays, especially when my husband is working, you’ll usually find me working on babies and having little photo shoots!
This little one is a cloth body baby, and this video shows one of my favorite things about them: how beautifully they pose! I can turn their heads and position their arms to capture those sweet, lifelike moments.
People often ask me about cloth body versus full silicone, and while I love both, cloth bodies have a special place in my heart. I assemble them myself, which lets me adjust their weight and give them that cuddly, newborn feel. I also add a newborn scent, with unscented available by request.
They’re more durable, easier to dress and need less maintenance, which can make them a wonderful choice for children learning to care for a reborn. If a limb comes loose, I can usually reattach it. Tears in full silicone are much more difficult to address.
Silicone offers that soft, squishy feel, but to me, a carefully weighted cloth body feels just as sweet and natural nestled in your arms. Every type has something special to offer—so if you’re choosing your baby, don’t overlook the cloth bodies! 🥰
