Fam - Prepare to be Spammed.

We just got back from a WHIRLWIND trip centered around touring some of the best gardens in the UK.

I’m going to share some of my take aways here from each of those gardens over the next few days.

Here’s Day 1: Great Dixter, East Sussex

Known for its Long Border, Sunken Garden, ((and probably only to me)) as the most densely planted garden I’ve ever visited

Some of my favorite things:
- using evergreens to frame a space and direct lines of sight
- scale of plants to anchor spaces
- repetition of plants/colors/textures
- very very little negative spaces
- acknowledging how hardscaping impacts shading and playing into the limits of the space

On brand, it rained the whole time we were there visiting, but the colors were so vivid and vibrant - I’d love to return on a sunnier day and take me time perusing every niche, but I’m so glad this was our first garden stop.

Shoutout to Cornish Bakery and Kent’s cherry farmers for keeping us in business with fab snacks && Molly Hendry for all the great recs.

Shew wee. May has made off with most of my energy, but she has taken some gorgeous flowers along with her.

So thankful to be able to sling beautiful blooms for y’all in every season, but especially Spring, and especially for moments that mean the most.

Brandi and Boz were so kind to come out to the farm yesterday and and doing great (and difficult) work of highlighting small businesses local to Walker County and Smith Lake!

I literally pulled in with a load of two tons of lumber for raised beds to the new hoop house and jumped right into this interview because that’s how things are in this busy busy season!

This is a snapshot of who we are and what we offer - from one-time deliveries to season and year long subscriptions, flower bars and pop ups, and even special event floral design.
