Standard Backsplash or Full Height Splash, that is the question.

That decision is typically made by you, the customer, as it is a personal preference. However, there are many things to consider. Please read below:

📏Standard Backsplash - Does not cover the entire wall, typically about 4" unless otherwise discussed; sometimes will have outlet cutouts; will be installed the same day as countertop unless previously discussed.

📐Full-Height Splash - Covers exposed wall from countertop to cabinet or ceiling; typically will have outlet cutouts; will NOT be installed the same day as the countertops as we need to have a 2nd template for the full height once the countertops are installed, only after the 2nd template will the full height be installed.

What is caulking and is it a provided in your installation service? 🤔

Fantastic question! Caulking is the process of sealing specific sections to prevent potential water leaks💧, air drafts💨, etc. It is a service that is complimentary for each installation Excel Glass and Granite does🥰. However, please keep in mind that Excel Glass and Granite is NOT responsible for any shrinkage/voids that may appear overtime with the caulk❌. Also to note that Excel Glass and Granite does not provide painting in any form🖌, so we are not responsible to paint the caulk after installation. (Yes, the caulk we use is paintable🎨!) That responsibility falls to the homeowner/contractor/builder👷.
