This is Hanamint furniture. This furniture is cast aluminum it is heavy, beautiful and expensive. The problem is that the castings are made in China. The castings are not pure aluminum they are made from recycled material that contains impurities and the primer seems to be nonexistent. We have to sandblast, prime and powdercoat each piece at least twice to achieve a proper finished piece. If you choose to buy Hanamint beware that this peeling will happen to you particularly if you have this furniture around a salt water pool. A better choice if you want to go with cast furniture is to buy Tropitone it will be a little more money up front but will save you money in the long run.
