2 days of Brokering the most important Modern Estates I’ve ever come across in 32 years.
Driving home after a very successful meeting with an estimated exceptional sale which should be taking place this winter.
Driving down the street in La Jolla I notice the Fogg,
It brought scary memories of my Commercial fishing days that rival any Halloween stories.
One story in particular the summer of 2006 in the North Pacific River out of the Columbia River ( border of Oregon and Washington.
My Clients husband was a big Fisherman and Fortune 500 company it was nice to see his fishing collection as it brought softness to the exceptional collection.
I brought over some smoked Marlin for them.
as soon as I left the house I saw the Fogg, went down the street to sit in peace in the shade on a wide street to send photos of the 2 estates to Colleagues.
After that down to the harbor to get fish location reports met a guy on a $200,000 Boat .
I talked about his beautiful boat then I brought up Commercial fishing. He then brought up that his Brother in law had died 10 years ago on a sailboat in Half Moon Bay ( 30 miles South of San Francisco). MY HOME PORT. 1999-2001 my first years Commercial fishing
They were on a sailboat coming into the jetty and a 40 foot wave rolled the sailboat 1 dead 1 survived!
Of course I threw that out of my mind but deep
inside one has to think about that.
Reminded me of the story the guy was on a skiff at the same location in a small boat in the Fogg there and a whale came up and flipped his boat he died. He owned a BBQ place there I heard.
So much for my Semi Peaceful afternoon
No wonder when I showed up there at Half Moon Bay in 1999 and bought 3 WW11 era boats no one wanted to fish on my boats.
Was I the only one brave enough to do the most dangerous job in the world against the odds or was I the stupid one? Probably both.
That’s just 2 death stories of Half Moon Bay. What about the ones I never heard about?
