Country Needleworks has been locally owned and operated since 1981. We carry everything you need for knitting and crocheting including needles, hooks, notions, patterns and beautiful yarns including several hand dyed. We have a huge selection of store models to provide you with inspiration. We have a cross stitch department full of patterns, fabrics and threads. Our stamping and scrapbooking department is great for making pages for a memory book or for making cards. We have many stamps, papers, inks, embellishments as well as many ideas! There are lots of samples made up throughout the department to inspire you. From pillows, wall art, vases, jewelry, candles, handmade soaps and lotions, greeting cards and so much more! You're sure to find the perfect gift.

Thank you for the great response to our Knitted Knocker Challenge. Four out of five winners from the national competition were from our store’s contributions. Our Monday Marketplace episode this week, showcases a yarn by Plymouth. It is called Nako Hercai, 100% acrylic, 171 yards. It is classified as an Aran/Chunky weight. The greatest feature of this yarn is how the strands are “barber poled” making for multi colored strands of yarn. Our first model, is called Infinity Cowl and Matching Mitts. This is a great project for the beginner knitter who wants to take their knitting to the next level. The cowl and mitts are knit flat and seamed. The Basketweave Throw is another easy knit that highlights the coloring of the yarn with a textured pattern. Both of these projects are knitted with larger sized needles for a quick finish!

Today for our Monday Marketplace, we have a couple of children’s sweaters to share. The first one is called Kirby made from Rico Baby Cozy Organic Cotton Cashmere, a sport weight yarn. The yarn is 90% organic cotton, 10% cashmere with 159 yds in a 50 gr ball. The lace pattern on this yoke gives it an heirloom touch. The other sweater is a classic that comes in many sizes, infant to adult. It’s call the Flax sweater by Tin Can Knits. This sweater was made from Rico Creative Malange Aran Wonderball. This yarn is 51% wool, 49% nylon with 700 yds in a 200 gr ball. The flax sweater is a raglan top down with contrasting garter panels going down the sleeves. With so many size options, you can make one for every family member!

For our Monday Marketplace at Country Needleworks this week, we have a trunk show from Blue Sky Fibers. This show includes items made from Woolstock, the worsted weight 100% wool, Woolstock Light, the fi*****ng weight 100% wool and Prairie, the 53% suri alpaca, 47% alpaca. The Highland wool makes these 50 gram skeins very soft to the touch. The hat, called Mountain Vista is worked using the worsted weight. The pattern design is made using knit stitches amid purls. The Orbital Cowl uses two high contrasting colors of the Woolstock for a beautiful lightweight cowl. The New London Cardigan made with Woolstock Light is a classic long cardigan that would be a great addition to any wardrobe. Paired with that is the Calypso Cowl made with two strands, one each Woolstock and Prairie, for that unique marled look. Sue is wearing the Supernovae Swoncho, a combination of a sweater and a poncho. The color work is spectacular using the Woolstock for warmth. The North Star Cowl is a tubular color work cowl using Woolstock Light, that is worked in the round creating a tube. The Bainbridge Tam & Cowl are made from the fi*****ng weight, again both pieces showing off beautiful color work knitting.

REMINDER…the Knitted Knocker Challenge ends tomorrow at 4:00 when the store closes. We would love to gather more Knockers throughout the day! There will also be Knocker Social Knitting tomorrow morning from 10:00 to noon. This social knitting will keep going through October, 2026, every Wednesday from 10:00 to noon. Country Needleworks will continue to collect the Knitted Knockers on a permanent basis. You can drop them off at any time. Thank you for the great support from our store 🩷
