ONE MORE, POR SI ACASO.

The Por Si Acaso Bucket is for the Primo who already knew the night wasn’t over.

A 32 oz bucket cocktail over heavy ice with maracuyá, tequila blanco, pineapple, fresh lime, agave, sparkling water, and a little sea salt.

Bright. Cold. Ready for another round.

Because somebody always says they’re leaving…
and somehow we’re still at the table.

Be that Primo.

A language is more than words.

It carries the way a people describe family, food, weather, land, memory, humor, and home.

In the Peruvian Amazon, Amadeo García has spent more than two decades helping safeguard Taushiro. UNESCO identifies him as its only current speaker.

Now, new preservation efforts are helping move that knowledge from memory into books, recordings, and archives.

But preservation is more than documentation.

A language truly lives when someone else learns it, speaks it, answers with it, and passes it forward.

Because what we inherit only survives if someone chooses to carry it.

And someone else chooses to listen.

El Niño begins in the Pacific, but its effects travel much farther.

They move through coffee fields, reservoirs, power systems, wholesale markets, cafés, and eventually the family grocery bill.

The story is not only about weather. It is about how climate pressure becomes economic pressure—and how farmers and communities across Latin America are adapting through irrigation, better forecasting, resilient crops, and new ways of protecting what they grow.

Understanding the price means understanding the journey.

Sopa Sundays.

Some of the best recipes begin with the simplest ideas.

Sopa de Tortilla is proof that humble ingredients—corn tortillas, guajillo chiles, tomatoes, garlic, and onion—can become something timeless. Crispy tortillas meet a rich chile broth, finished with avocado, queso fresco, and crema for a bowl that’s comforting, deeply rooted in tradition, and meant to be shared.

At The Primo Club, we’re preserving Latin American recipes one Sunday at a time—celebrating the stories, traditions, and people behind every bowl.

Save this recipe for your next Sunday at home.

Reggaetón was never just party music.

Before the playlists, there were mixtapes.
Before the stadiums, there were street parties.
Before the museum walls, there were sound systems, buses, underground clubs, housing projects, cassette copies, and neighborhoods moving the culture by hand.

Then the world caught up.

MCA Chicago’s Dancing the Revolution: From Dancehall to Reggaetón traces the story through Jamaica, Panama, Puerto Rico, migration, resistance, joy, politics, and the Caribbean roots that shaped the sound.

Because when institutions finally recognize the culture, the job is not to clean it up.

The job is to tell the truth.

Reggaetón did not need museum approval to matter.

But if it’s on the wall now, the wall should tell the whole story.

Don’t sanitize what survived.
