I’m Juli and I like to live life behind the scenes. I’m an introvert, yet I challenge myself by sharing little bits of wisdom God preaches to my heart and speaking up when Truth needs to be spoken, but I believe God doesn’t need me to do His work. He’s got this!👍
I was raised surrounded by old people, flowers, gardening, hobby farming, and running through fields, pastures, and the woods. What a childhood I had! I didn’t have a lot of “stuff,” but I had a lot of experiences and adventures and I’m so grateful for it.
I do most of the flower farming work on my own with a bit of help from my supportive husband and a few of my favorite people, my little people who like to keep me company and help pull w**ds, and my sweet neighbor down the road that lends a hand on occasion! Do you know your neighbors?? I have been blessed with a sweet little community.
I love to read GOOD. BOOKS. So many books dog-eared in every room..📚 But I’m also not a sitter, so I read in tiny spurts and then I’m off! Sitting is bad for you, you may want to look into that. This is why I don’t have comfortable chairs in my home. Dwindling in a place of comfort for too long is a dangerous place to tarry.
My favorite book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes. It has been since my early college days. I remember when I was okay with not knowing everything. I don’t need to understand everything..all the “why’s.” It really is “a chasing of the wind.” I have really big faith and it makes all the difference.❤️
I believe in having thick-skin and a soft heart. I have learned it is beneficial to everyone to have honest and open communication skills. Having quick, direct words and reciprocating communication or feelings to others is freeing. To all. I try to admit I’m wrong or apologize right away to clear the air and move on with life. Confrontation doesn’t scare me and I think it’s necessary in order to not have a resentful or bitter heart. To my knowledge, no one has yet mastered reading another person’s mind. Why spend time misunderstanding someone when you could ask a few questions and not let things fester?? It’s ok to disagree.🙂
I practice gratitude, intentionality, and having an unoffendable heart. I try to have a teachable heart. This leads to lots of stretching and growth in many avenues of my life. Literally, I used to be a yoga instructor, so there was a lot of stretching and growing there, but my priorities shifted and I took a better (not easier!) job raising kids. And I think this is where much of what I learned during my 9 years of yoga instruction were applied to my life..being a mama. I think we are all capable of learning new things, changing perspectives and hearts, and because of that we should not set expectations or make assumptions for one another. We are each a work in progress.
I am a creative and love envisioning areas of potential in my mind then bringing that into fruition somehow. I love color. Neutrals are very lackluster and monochromatic to me. I would never survive in an HOA. 🤣 I like my flowerbeds to be a representation of my mind- colorful and kinda crazy!
I value privacy and intimacy during a time when many tell and show all about their lives. I only share a very minute portion of my life.
A few of my favorite films are: Friendly Persuasion, Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation, Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell, and My Fair Lady.
So that’s it! (Just kidding)..
Buy local flowers and have a nice day!😄
