Chimney Techs would just like to remind everyone that we are exactly one month away from the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Sure, we do not agree with everything that goes on here. I can pretty well guarantee that no one in this country agrees with everything that the government does all of the time. But there is no place I would rather live. If someone else wants to move to Britain, or France, or anywhere else, please feel free to go. I love it here!

All of us here at Chimney Techs have served our nation. And we are all proud of it. However, service does not give someone the exclusive privilege of loving their country. Everyone is free in this country to love this nation whether you served or not.

The founding fathers did not all have the same mind. Quite frankly, some of them did not like each other, and they had many conflicting views about how the new country should look. It just proves that different opinions about how our government should work are older than the nation itself. What we are dealing with in this nation in the political realm today is really not new!

As we get closer to the 250th celebration of the Declaration of Independence, let's keep the pride that we all have in our nation not only in our hearts, but also in our voices as we speak to others. In the words of the comedian Yakov Smirnoff, What a Country!

Memorial Day is to remember those that lost their life in the service of this country while in the military. It looks like the drought is finally coming to a close. But with rain comes leaky chimneys. If you are seeing signs of a leaking chimney, or do not have proper chimney caps on your chimney, you need to call a chimney professional quickly as these problems never fix themselves and the damage only gets worse with time.
