Dear friends and customers, I hope you are all staying well!
I had planned to keep classes and lessons going as long as possible through the epidemic...and most of you know the precautions we have been taking in the shop to protect everyone from virus spread; but some things changed over the weekend. For family reasons, we have decided to self-isolate at home for at least the next 2 weeks. However, we are both still committed to our students!
If you have a class or lesson scheduled, we can pursue group classes via zoom, and individual lessons or help with projects via zoom or Facebook video calling. Some of you have had video conference lessons with me previously.
If you are part of a group, such as the Thursday Bunny class, or the Friday Knitting School, please pm me your email, and I will schedule a zoom meeting for our regular time. You will need to download the zoom app on your own device. This is what college and other classes are doing, and allows us all to see and hear each other in real time, as a group.
If you have a private lesson, you can choose fb video call or zoom, just let me know your preference. Zoom sessions are limited to 45 minutes on the free app; fb video calls don't have a time limit.
If you just need help with a project, as always, you can call, text with pictures, or have a facebook video call.
For projects where you need me to fix a mistake, we have to be more careful. Place your project inside a paper bag and roll and tape or staple it shut. Let it sit for 48 hours unopened. Write your name on the bag. Then you may bring it by my house (265 E. Main St.)and leave it on the table on the front porch. I will fix it, place it back in the bag, and in 48 hours it should be safe for you to take home and work on. I'm basing this plan on my understanding of current CDC information about how long the coronavirus lives on porous surfaces.
I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience or stress these measures may cause, and I hope to reunite, joyfully, with you all, in real life, as soon as it is safe to do so.
Peace, blessing, and Happy Stitching!
