Fundraising Opportunity!

Here's my latest knife:
-Magnacut blade hardened to 63 for exceptional edge retention
-Cocobolo wood handle is naturally stable and resistant to water with a beautiful grain pattern

The Pitt State Cast in Steel senior design group is looking to raise funds for their project. Their project last 2 semesters, and they will be casting a sword to enter into a competition.

The knife is being raffled off to support this project, and tickets can be purchased at Changing Hands Book Shoppe ($5 each or 5 for $20).

The drawing will take place November 27th at Changing Hands at 1pm. Winner need not be present to win.

Below is updated pricing:

- Most knives 6" or less $5
- Knives up to 10" $8
- Knives over 10" $1.25/inch
- Serrated knives (hand filing) $2/inch

For higher end, knives I offer freehand sharpening on a water stone for maximum care for $2/inch (minimum $6).

- Mower blades $5 (professional balancing included)
- Most chainsaw blades $10, removal is an extra $5
- Most scissors $5

I do offer discounts based on volume and am happy to work out deals for businesses that regularly need services.

I also offer a variety of other sharpening services. If you need a quote, please message me via text is best.

I am usually available evenings and weekends by appointment and have drop boxes for convenient drop off and pickup if requested.

Just finished my latest chefs knife.

AEB-L stainless steel hardened to 62 HRC.
Desert ironwood handle.

Desert ironwood is exceptionally hard with a tight enough grain structure that it is naturally water resistant which makes it a premium handle material.

This one is set to be my personal chefs knife, but if anyone is interested in a similar knife, then contact me and I can provide a quote.

Finished another knife.

6" chef/camp knife. Nice and compact for those outdoor excursions and transports easily in a hand stitched leather sheath.

AEB-L stainless steel blade hardened to 62 HRC for high edge retention with good rust resistance.

OD green micarta handle and stainless steel pins for a handle that can withstand the outdoors.

This is my first set of knives that includes my new makers mark that I stamped in the blades prior to heat treat.

The holidays are about to be coming up soon. Currently I am mostly booked through Christmas but I have I few blades started that I could have finished before Christmas if anyone is wanting any as gifts.

I can sell a completed knife like I normally do, or if you are interested, I can put together a custom knife building kit (like the one below) if with a completed blade that needs a handle.

Finished a new skinning knife in time for deer hunting in this cold snap! (This one already has an owner)

Knife details:
1080 high carbon steel hardened to 61 HRC
Natural burlap micarta handle with orange g10 liners
Handmade custom leather sheath
I waxed the sheath and knife blade for water resistance. In time, if taken care of, the knife should develop a nice patina.

Harvest season is upon us. If that means the same thing to you as it does to me then that means plenty of cutting fresh produce, canning, and tasting various hot peppers that make you sweat enough to make you question your life choices hahaha

A sharp knife makes slicing those peppers and tomatoes quick and easy without that problem of crushing them and making a mess.

If your knives aren't making the cut, contact me and I will get them cutting like new.

Just got an order in with some great woods for knife handles:

Padauk
Cocobolo
Bocote

These are highly water and rot resistant and look really great!
