I’ve never been great with words. Neither has my father. We’re more “acts of service” kind of people— I’ve definitely inherited that from him. You all know Bill- the man, the myth, the legend. He’s stopped by your house on his morning walk then returned with a shovel to help you with your garden. He’s stopped by with his chainsaw to help you chop a tree. He’s been around my shop and carried something to your car or at least you have seen him helping the shops neighbors do—literally anything. He tells insane stories about his younger days at Woodstock, Vietnam, and beyond. He fights bigots the show up to Pride events, raises insane amounts of money for homeless veterans, quietly helps with all your home and shop maintenance, dresses as Santa to advertise for you (and your friends) and/or raise money for charity (lest we forget sometimes he just dresses as Santa and drives around on his motorcycle to make other drivers smile), and will be your dad if you ever need to borrow him.
All that to say— Happy Father’s Day to the worlds best dad!!!
