Adjusted a previous dress, skirts are the same but made a new corset top and stomacher. I much prefer this version to the old one.

I’ve made this dress to wear during the “Pirates and puppies” week at my upcoming Renaissance festival. I wanted an an eye catching gown but also the flounce, lace, and darker pirate aesthetics. Ordered everything I need to also make a matching tricorn hat to better fit the pirate theme. ☺️

Part of my wants to make this work for a Renaissance fair even though it’s a 1780s corset. I’ll definitely be wearing it to the monthly goth get-togethers once they start up again! 😌🙏

I completed my 1780s corset, pattern is from Redthreaded off of Etsy. It’s the first time in a while that I’ve used a pre-drafted pattern and dealt with the pre-drafted issues. Luckily this one didn’t need much adjusting and wasn’t too horrible to sew! I can’t wait to wear this to Renaissance festival with my MacLachlan tartan, also pictured.

This corset is also reversible and I will add another post with pictures of the other side and matching skirt!

I’ve been working on my next project, a set of 1780s stays with stomacher. This is being specifically made for a dress I’m making to go with this corset. I’ve never done a 1780s corset so I didn’t trust myself to self draft the pattern like I usually do, instead I bought this awesome pre-sized pattern off Etsy! 😍❤️

I’m going to be going slow and trying not to mess up my first attempt at this pattern. Stay tuned for updates. 😊

Finally finished the purple damask dress... well, mostly finished. I’m thinking of adding sleeves and trimming the collar and French hood with fake pearls. But here it is!

Also added a look at what is under the layers that gives me the full dress and large hips look.
