Our beautiful slabs and pieces all start out the same. So how do we pick sections of logs or the log itself? Collin decided to give you all a little insight into what to look for and what you need to get beautiful grain and great figure. What questions do you have about picking the right logs? On first glance, Burl tables seem pretty straightforward, but burls often have a large amount of small cracks and voids that need to be stabilized with resin. The Blue Snow team went over these burls over the course of a couple days to be certain that every tiny void was properly taken care of. Our burls make beautiful bistro, coffee, and dining tables. Do you want to order a burl table? Contact us at [email protected] or reach out to us via our website bluesnowinc.com.

"Does the finish change the color of the slabs?" - this is one question our team gets asked on a regular basis. We use a clear finish that does not change the color of the slabs you like so much. The finish is multipurpose; it provides protection from minor scratches and scuffs and enriches color of the grain. The finish brings out all of the colors and nuances of the grain that is difficult to see in a raw slab. Have more questions? Come see us at 457 Ash Rd., Kalispell or email us at [email protected].

We see ahead to every stage so that our clients do not have to. When you order a custom piece, you want to fill your order and that be the end of it. When a client chooses us for their project, our designers finalize details, and our craftsmen go through all the steps while the client enjoys knowing their project is safe in our hands. Does that sound good to you? Email us at [email protected] to get a free quote on your project today.

It's Friday!! Enjoy one of the resin pours going into this slab. This White Oak slab has a lot of cracks to fill with many of them being very small. In preparation of having the cover so much of the surface area with resin, our team shellaced the slab to prevent any of the resin dye from staining. Follow along to see this project completed!

This client came in to look at slabs for her coffee table and picked a piece of Spalted Maple with a very rotten side. Instead of being wary of the rot, our client fully embraced it. Our design team went over her vision for the finished product which included a lot of artistic discretion from our craftsmen. Remembering our design meeting and looking at the finished product, we don't think our craftsmen could have gotten it any closer to the client's wishes if we had given them an exact photo. Would you look differently at a "rough" slab after seeing this beauty?

We will always remember. God Bless the USA.
