As I think about 2026 being the 250th anniversary of the United States I remember being 10 years old in 1976 when the United States celebrated 200 years. 7 Up released pop cans for each state with half the can being white with red & blue 7 Ups. One can showed how to stack the cans to build the Uncle Sam. Collecting all 50 cans wasn’t a simple task. Back then there was no deposit for cans so they were thrown out along the highway. My Mom, brother, sister & I got good at spotting cans in the ditch. It was such a fun summer collecting those cans. I’m so glad my Mom was willing to stop the car so we could jump out and pickup cans. I just assembled it at the shop. Does anyone else remember these 7 Up cans? Can you make out Uncle Sam?
