There's magic and power in making space in your head and life for creativity and beauty. During the school year, I occupy myself designing engaging units to help young people think about their world and connect with others who may have different experiences. Often, I feel as though I am a muse: helping students find their voices, crafting their words, learning to love taking time to write and feeling proud of what they have written.
On breaks, is when I can channel my heart visions through not only ink, but color. So many stories read, imagined, and dream swirl through my consciousness. I gift myself time to allow them to live and breathe.
