Not every flooring project has a straightforward solution.

For this home, the challenge was bringing together two very different wood species: American cherry and maple. One naturally pulls red, while the other is much lighter and more yellow. The homeowner wanted everything to feel cohesive throughout the space.

That meant going beyond the standard process, testing the right approach, and taking a few extra steps to get the colors where they needed to be.

The result? Floors that look so similar you’d never know they started as two completely different species.

When sanding is involved, we use multi-stage dust containment systems with HEPA filtration to capture as much dust as possible at the source. While no construction project can be completely dust-free, our goal is always to leave you with a cleaner, more comfortable experience from start to finish.

Sanding and finishing is when a project really starts to come to life.

After all the prep work, installation, and attention to detail, this stage means we’re getting close to the finish line. It’s also when you finally get to see the character of the wood, the richness of the finish, and the full transformation of the space.
