I don’t let many things defeat me, but for some reason I have not been able to figure out crown moulding! 🤨 I’ve wasted so much material trying to do it, so I decided to go with the faux crown molding look using cove moulding and trim pieces. I lived with it for a bit and didn’t love how small it looked, so I made it look more substantial by using the painting hack and I love it! . I bought some wall chair rail, used a 1x4 to leave space between the top trim and nailed it in. I painted that 4” gap between the trim pieces and voilà I had beautiful crown molding. 😍 I highly recommend this method!
