My brain often tells me that no one cares.

When others point out the evidence to the contrary, my mind easily negates what they say. “Yeah, but they’re just there because we’re a habit from middle school.” Or “If they really knew me, they wouldn’t care.” I have 37.6 YEARS of evidence to the contrary, but only when I do my own reflection and mental health work can I fight the “yes, BUT…” excuses.

Do the work. Take some weight off your shoulders about a problem that may not even exist. And if a simple sticker, print, or shirt helps you fight your negative thoughts - I say it’s worth the investment.

Yoshi may be my heart dog, but I’m Mocha’s emotional support human. She joined our family right before a lot of upheaval in my personal life. She helps me regulate when she’s near me- which is basically all the time. Her presence and consistency have helped me through some rough spots, especially with a lot of recent health issues.

I like to think that Yoshi picked her for me and sent her when I’d most need a calming presence. I love her deeply and am so glad she’s ours! 🐾💜

Ivy needs your help in the Kansas City area!

Ideally, my friend would like to keep Ivy, but times are a little tough right now. They’re looking for someone to watch Ivy on the weekends, someone who can foster Ivy, or an adopter who can give her the time and attention she deserves.
About Ivy:
🐾 3yr old Husky/German Shepherd mix.
🐾 Doesn’t have accidents inside if she is kept on a consistent schedule
🐾 Good with commands such as wait & sit.
🐾 Loves to be pet, go to the dog park, and eat pup cups.
🐾 Loves kids!
🐾 Gets the zoomies on occasion
🐾 Only barks at motorcycles!

If you can help my friend out, please let me know via messenger! If you’re able to, please share this post so we can find the right person to keep Ivy with her current family OR can give her the right home.
