What a huge milestone for my shop!

This is the very first freestanding lace embroidery design that I digitized myself. After several days of careful stitch placement and three test stitch-outs, I think the final result is "out of this world". 🚀

I'm so excited to be able to digitize my own unique freestanding lace bookmarks, instead of relying on existing designs. Learning to digitize opens up so many new possibilities, and I can't wait to share more of my creations..

I’ve been thinking about how my little shop has grown. After years of working, shouldn’t retirement mean slowing down?

Somewhere along the way, my hobby became a small business — and I’ve discovered that I love every part of it. Every day brings something new to learn. I’m a maker, photographer, designer, copywriter, inventory manager, bookkeeper, and yes… I’m also the shipping department. (Good thing I’m the boss! 😉)

This little shop challenges me, keeps me creative, and brings me so much joy.

And this is the reality behind the scenes… my little sewing room in all its glorious chaos.

So yes… I’m retired. But I’m also a small business owner — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Road trip for the ALL TEXAS QUILT SHOP HOP with friends! We did 10 shops, and roughly 400 miles, in 2 days. We enjoyed seeing small town Texas, supporting local businesses, and meeting nice people along the way.
