Quilts in the wild England: Our last day in England was spent exploring Oxford. Our quilt picture is under The Bridge of Sighs, a beautiful covered walkway connecting 2 colleges, we were also fortunate to go into the Bodleian Library, see the Radcliffe Camera and go inside of New College. Some of the pictures may look familiar from various Harry Potter movies.

Quilts in the wild England: Another beautiful find in York was St. Mary's Abbey. This is the ruin of an 11th century Benedictine monastery established in 1088.

Quilts in the wild England: We explored the York City Walls which are the longest intact town walls in England.

Quilts in the Wild England: on our trip back to London we stopped in York. The York Minster Cathedral was stunning. We spent a few hours wandering through many halls, marvelling at the incredible stained glass and the beautiful organ. We even explored the museum underground, uncovering layers of history beneath the cathedral. It was almost perfect except the Rose Window was under refurbishment. I guess that means we'll have to come back!

What an unforgettable visit with the Acorn Quilters in Broughty Ferry, Scotland!

I had the joy of attending a guild workshop and knew this was a fun group when I first walked in the room. There was boisterous laughter, tea and cake breaks, and colorful projects on every table.

I was honored to be able to spend time talking with each quilter and learning about what they are working on. Thank you for inviting me to visit. It was wonderful to meet you all!

Quilts in the Wild Scotland: A beautiful day visiting the magnificent Kelpies. The statues are 30 meters high (98ft) and honor the hard working Clydesdale horses.
