I just wanted to hop on here really quick and say THANK YOU!
We have been incredibly busy at the kitchen lately, and that’s all thanks to YOU!
The love you’ve shown for our food, the conversations, recommendations, and word of mouth spreading throughout the Tri-Cities have been absolutely amazing.
When I first launched Huli Huli ʻOhana BBQ, I was nervous. Starting a business is a huge leap, and what people don’t always see are the sacrifices, stress, and everyday uncertainty that come with keeping a small business going. There are days when you question yourself and wonder if everything you’re putting into it will pay off.
But every time you guys show up, share our food with someone, or tell us how much you enjoy it, it reminds me why I started this journey. Your support is what keeps us going and growing.
With that being said, I have some exciting news to share!
We have officially accepted an incredible catering opportunity to serve 600 guests at a luau in Yakima! 🎉🌺
This is a HUGE milestone for our little business! After careful consideration, I truly believe this is an opportunity we can’t pass up. It’s a chance to introduce our food to hundreds of new people, continue building our reputation, and show what our team is capable of.
To give an event of this size the preparation and attention it deserves, we will be CLOSED Thursday, October 15th through Saturday, October 17th, and will reopen Thursday, October 22nd.
Closing during our regular service days isn’t an easy decision. It comes with sacrifices, but sometimes growing a business means taking chances and stepping outside of what’s comfortable. I truly believe this is one of those moments.
We’re still a small business, still learning, and still growing. We won’t always get everything perfect, but we’ll always do our best to make things right and keep improving. My goal has always been to build something our community can be proud of, and we’re taking it one plate at a time.
I also want to recognize my team. The long days, hard work, and dedication they put into this business don’t go unnoticed. I’m incredibly proud of them, and none of this would be possible without their commitment.
To everyone who has purchased a plate, shared a post, left a review, recommended us to a friend, or simply wished us success, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know there are people out there who genuinely want to see us succeed, and that means more than you know.
We also want to apologize for the late notice! We’ve been so busy at the kitchen and preparing for everything happening behind the scenes that we haven’t had much time to hop on here and share what’s been going on this week.
We know many of you look forward to seeing us during our regular service days, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this closure may cause. We hope you guys understand, and hopefully you’re not too mad at us! ❤️ We can’t wait to see you all when we return!
And don’t forget, WE ARE OPEN TODAY from 12 PM – 6 PM! Come grab your favorite plate before we take our short break!
