I recently overheard someone say that handmade items are “cheap gifts.” And honestly, it made my heart hurt a little—not just for me, but for every maker. 🩷

Handmade doesn’t mean cheap.

It means someone created it with their own two hands.

It didn’t roll off an assembly line. It was made one at a time, with hours of work, creativity and care behind it.

Is handmade always perfectly perfect? Nope. And that’s exactly what makes it special. Each piece is a little different. Each one has its own character and story.

So the next time you see something handmade, look beyond the price tag. See the time, the hands and the heart behind it.
