Ashley grew up on her family farm in Charles County, Maryland, where she learned the values of family, hard work and faith. She had an experience that was very unique to the everyday norm, and she loved every minute of it. While farming, fishing and learning about life, her appreciation and fascination with the beauty of nature grew stronger. She wanted to harness this inspiration and express it a
rtistically, which is where her college journey began. She achieved her Bachelor's in Graphic Design, minoring in Art History as well. In the summer of 2012, Ashley returned to Southern Maryland and she began working professionally as a Graphic Designer, and also enjoyed completing side work, such as branding and wedding invitations. Michael grew up on his family farm in Charles County, Maryland, where he learned the values of family, hard work and faith. He had an experience that was very unique to the everyday norm, and the path he chose after high school was no different. He joined the United States Army, and served his country for a total of 9 years. This included multiple deployments, living around the world, and then settling back into the United States where he lived in various areas along the east coast. In the summer of 2015, Michael returned to Southern Maryland for his brother's wedding. This is the summer that Michael and Ashley met, and they have been together ever since. Today,The Rustic Wren's signs ship internationally, and they have even traveled all over the world, including Canada, England, Australia, Germany, and Israel. We want to keep pushing ourselves and keep expanding our business - this journey that we started together, drawing from inspirations that we both obtained before we even knew each other... Everything happens for a reason.
