Today’s Showcase items-Vintage Lunchboxes

Metal lunch boxes became popular in the 1950s and featured everything from cowboys to TV characters and superheroes. Plastic lunch boxes took off in the 1960s–70s because they were lighter, cheaper, and could be made in fun shapes! Many originally came with a matching thermos complete sets can be more collectible. The character, age, rarity, and condition can make a BIG difference in value! Come in today and check out all the metal and plastic lunchboxes that we have to offer! Thank you! Have a great day!

Today’s Showcase Item!

The Founders
S&H Green Stamps were created by the Sperry & Hutchinson Co. (S&H), founded in 1896 by Thomas Sperry and Shelley Hutchinson.

The Original Loyalty Program
Long before digital credit card points, airline miles, or retail rewards apps, S&H Green Stamps were one of America’s first mass-market consumer loyalty programs. At their peak, an estimated 80% of American households used Green Stamps, making them a huge part of everyday shopping.

How It Worked
Retailers purchased physical sheets of Green Stamps from S&H and handed them out to customers at checkout—typically one stamp for every 10 cents spent. Shoppers would collect the stamps, stick them into booklets, and eventually redeem the filled books for merchandise from the S&H catalog or redemption centers.
