Who would have thought that the bulk foil TCG cards I've been holding onto for years could have new life as my next art project?
So I stripped the ink off of a [redacted] TCG card, and used Posca markers to turn it into a custom holographic sigil card for an intention that I needed at the moment, and overall, I am absolutely obsessed with this whole process, and the end result.
In the future, I may use my traditional printmaking technique and block print some actual TCG tokens, lands, proxies, in addition to doing projects like this!
Big ups to for the video that inspired this project, and tp for always providing wisdom months or years before I ever even realize I needed it.
Also, the audio in this reel was Live Coded by me in Strudel REPL, which is another project I am working on (stay tuned for more info......) so another big ups to for giving me the boost I needed to get back into live coding and making music in general. (The track is just a thing, a little experimentation 😁 )
Now I have a use for all of that bulk TCG that's been sitting collecting dust, following me from apartment to apartment over the years!
Want a custom holo sigil card for yourself? Comment "🪿" and I'll DM you to chat about getting you one!
Big love to y'all, and stay locked for picking some of these up at my next in person event: The Art Vintage & Vinyl Market on June 18th in Abingdon, VA, hosted by the wonderful .vintage!
