From Coneptual to Actual. We start with Design Boards and Floor Plans and sometimes renderings then give an estimate and book it. From there you get a weekly sometimes daily progress report on budget, labor and materials so you stay informed throughout the way.

The biggest surprise with this one is that a previous contractor had told the homeowners they had trusses. I knocked a hole in the ceiling before taking any of the framing out just to be sure. Sure enough there were rafters NOT trusses. So I hired out an expert to build the support beams then I framed them in wood and stained it to make it a feature piece.

Every job there’s always a feature piece that pops up along the way. I get an idea and just have to run with it.

Let’s talk wall art. How many times have you gotten rid of pieces that no longer work for your updated Design? Put it in a yard sale, gave pieces away or donated them. Me too.

This time I decided to see if I could use an older piece I’ve had stored away for a couple years and repurpose it into something more Transitional.

Less than $30 later I have a new piece that works. I flipped it on it’s side and used acrylic paints. Let me know if you want to see another piece in more detail to show you how to create a piece like this yourself.
