I haven't post anything in a while, but thought I'd share this. Left early Sunday morning to check out a collection in the snowy North. After driving 1,700 miles through seven states, just judging on volume, the trip was a success!

It's with a very heavy heart that I announce that my Mom passed away today, June 29, 2025. Many of you will remember her from past Civil War shows. Mom was at a great many shows from the early 1980's - early 2000's. I'd like to say she was a lover of CW history, but she wasn't. She loved my Dad and me, and never missed a show because she loved, and wanted to support us. Mom passed from dementia which is an exceptionally cruel disease. She loved her savior Jesus Christ, her husband, and her family. She is now reunited with her husband, and we rejoice in knowing one day, we also will be reunited with her. Rest easy Mom, we love you!

Absolutely beautiful, dug Georgia waist belt plate, in fantastic condition. It is out of the famous Dick Hammond collection, and is featured in the book "The Hammond Collection, Fifty Years Searching the Virginia Woods". A better dug example would be about impossible to find.

A huge thank you for all of our veterans. Words can't express the gratitude I have for the sacrifices made by our service men and women, and their families. Freedom isn't free! God bless.

I love what I do to make a living. Not only do I get to associate with some of the best folks around, I get to help preserve relics for future generations. Check out these killer pieces I recently acquired. A Haiman cavalry saber in great shape, a dug Kenansville cav saber, dug 1840 cav in scabbard, battle damaged 1832 short artillery sword, dug Savage, C**t Army, and Trantor revolvers, and two C S short artillery swords! Like I said, I love how I make a living. Most of these will be coming soon to www.stonesrivertrading.com God bless!

Here's what it is all about. I acquired this fine relic, and I have to admit when I first got it, I was mainly thinking what a cool relic. A fully capped and loaded C**t Model 1860 Army revolver. Not only was it a fantastic relic, but it had the added bonus of being accompanied by the October 6, 1968, edition of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution featuring an article titled Dixie Diggings. It was about two of the pioneers of our hobby, none other than Tom Dickey and Bill Adams, and the revolver was a center piece of their collection. Then it hit me, they had rescued this relic after being it having been in the ground for a 100 years. They then cleaned and preserved it, and shared it with countless others. In a world that is now trying to destroy our history, it falls on us to continue preserving these relics that were a part of that history, and the history that they represent. In a culture that is running amuck, it is up to us to educate our children and grandchildren to appreciate what has come before, both the good and bad.
