Emily's core work specialized in Interior Finishes from 1998-2008 designing for Houston area home builders & design studios. She completed her degree in Interior Design in 2001. From 2008 to now, she is currently raising & homeschooling her 3 children, and providing Interior Design services along with her design team. Emily has a unique approach to Design. You will find she is refreshingly personable and will make you feel valued in every aspect of the design process. Her expertise is amplified by her Mom-powered design team. A new vanity moment, classic marble penny tile, a walk-in shower, a pretty zellige tile, and a little extra attention to that sweet window were all it took to turn this bathroom into THAT GIRL.

Safe to say, she has little more personality now.💃

25 years ago, it started with just Emily & Doran


Then came two beautiful daughters. Then a son. Then came years of growing their family and building a life together.

And somewhere along the way, they built something else, too: Woods Design House!!

What started as their family has grown into a team, a business, and a community of people who are lucky enough to know them, work alongside them, and call WDH home.

If it were up to them
they probably wouldn’t post about themselves or make a big fuss about their anniversary, but we felt 25 years was worth celebrating! We feel so lucky to get to see the way you love each other and the example you set for all of us. The love you have for each other is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for us, and that same love is so apparent in the way you love your family and your team.

Nothing about the way you care for people feels transactional. You’ve created a place where your employees and your clients feel like family, and we’re so grateful to be a part of it.

Now he wishes we would’ve done it sooner


“Stop. The house is fine. Let’s just leave it alone.”

đŸ™‹â€â™€ïž How many of us have said something similar about our own homes?

Not because we don’t want change, but because change feels overwhelming. It feels like another project, another decision, another thing to add to an already full plate.

But “fine” is a dangerous word when it comes to your home.

Because fine means you’ve learned to settle for the frustrations. The layout that doesn’t function for your family, the spaces you’ve stopped enjoying because they don’t feel like you.

This home had SO much potential, and we’re so happy we got to transform it from 90s dated into the warm, romantic French country home our client had always wanted!!

Now it feels collected, welcoming, and completely HER. A home that reflects her personality and brings her joy every time she walks through the door!
