There are a lot of things we’re grateful for at Woods Design House, but Doran and Emily are at the top of the list, so we thought it was time for an appreciation post. 🤍

If you’ve ever worked with Doran and Emily, you know that caring for people comes naturally to both of them. You never feel like just another project or client with them. They care for their clients in a way that goes far beyond the scope of any project, always willing to go the extra mile for the people they serve.

The same is true for our team. Doran and Emily really do treat us like family. They celebrate our wins with us, they’re thoughtful in the day-to-day, and you always feel appreciated here, not just as part of a company, but as a person.

The way they love and support one another carries into every part of this company. They lead with faith, integrity, servant hearts, and a genuine desire to put others before themselves.

Woods Design House is what it is because of the example they set every day, and we’re incredibly grateful to be part of what they’ve built.

WE LOVE YOU!!!🤍

The biggest design mistake isn’t choosing the wrong finishes.
It’s living in a home that doesn’t feel like you.

A home can check every box and still feel like something is missing.

The spaces we live in shape so many of our daily moments. Slow mornings, family gatherings, quiet evenings, and everything in between. Those moments deserve a home that feels personal, welcoming, and connected to the people living there.

When we designed this French Country Escape, the goal wasn’t to follow trends or create something that would feel dated in a few years. It was to create a home with character, warmth, and timeless details that feel as though they’ve always belonged here.

Because great design isn’t just about making a home look beautiful.

It’s about creating a feeling.

A home that invites you to stay a little longer. A home that tells your story. A home that feels like a true reflection of the life you’re building inside it.

That’s what we design for every single day.

If you’re ready to stop settling for spaces that simply function and start creating a home that feels unmistakably yours, we’d love to help bring that vision to life.

So glad you’re here.

You don’t need a wrecking ball for a brand new kitchen feel. Here’s why👇

In this project, we kept the entire layout exactly as it was and even all of the original cabinetry stayed in place. No demo, no moving walls, no starting from scratch.

And like they say… if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.😅

Instead, we focused on the shifts that ACTUALLY move the needle: new countertops, fresh paint, updated lighting, and decor throughout. The kind of changes that seem small on their own, but completely change how the space feels when you walk in.

And what we love most about transformations like this is that they don’t just change how a kitchen looks, they change how it FEELS. There’s something really special about taking a space you already live in and making it feel warmer, more full of character, and more like you again.

That’s really the point of this post, so many kitchens don’t actually need to be gutted, they just need to be reimagined. A smarter investment in the details can stretch your budget further and still give you that “new kitchen” moment without the full renovation price tag. 💰

This is your reminder that transformation doesn’t always mean starting over. 🫶

It's always exciting to reveal a space for the first time - especially one with this much transformation behind it.
At Evergreen Estate, this former formal dining room wasn't serving our clients' needs, so we reimagined it as a dedicated study. 🩵
A space that now supports their work-from-home lifestyle while feeling layered, warm, and highly functional.

Love days like these when we get away from the screens and spend the day in the field - installs, jobsite visits, styling details, and client presentations.

Nothing better than seeing a project move through every phase and come together in real time. So grateful we get to do this everyday! 🫶🏼

You spend so much of your life in your office - it should support you, inspire you, and bring a sense of calm to your day, not add to the chaos.

If you've been on the fence about renovating your office space, consider this your sign. A functional, beautiful workspace really can change your entire workday. Better focus, less stress, and maybe even answering emails a little faster, your boss can thank us later!

Welcome to The Snug at our Evergreen Estate Project - a richly layered lounge designed for slow evenings, good conversation, and an even better pour.

Our clients envisioned a space that felt warm, collected, and just moody enough to invite you to stay awhile. From the plaid drapery and brass shelving to the curated art display and meaningful family heirlooms woven throughout, every detail was chosen to feel deeply personal and lived-in.

What was once an empty office space is now a gathering place that reflects the people who call it home - comfortable, storied, and full of character.
