Had an interesting clock come in to be serviced today. For the first time A Selisia Wall Clock came into the shop. Made between 1845 and 1875. Clockmaker - Gustav Becker (B.1819 - D.1885) known for making elegant clocks for the German Royal Family. He was in a beginning competition with the growth of Black Forest Cuckoo Clocks which ultimately ended his clock making career. Such a beautiful sad story of German elegance in its finest.
