Your camera roll called… it needs more flowers. 🌸📸

Tomorrow evening or Sunday morning, the gates are open for our very first U-Pick at Shari Ann Farms, and I would LOVE to have you here.

Come anytime during your selected timeframe, grab your cup + clippers, and wander the rows at your own pace. Cut the flowers that catch your eye, build a bouquet that feels like you, take entirely too many pictures, and stay as long as you’d like within the U-Pick hours.

Tickets are $35 per cup — and you’re absolutely welcome to bring a friend, your mom, your kids, or someone who could use a little evening among the flowers. 🤍 If they want flowers of their own, just grab them a cup too.

No rushing. No complicated itinerary. Just a Colorado evening, a field full of flowers, and something beautiful to take home.

We have two more events coming up this weekend. Our last Friday night market of the year with The Elizabeth Brewing Company and we will be at Independence Grilles and Grills on Sunday!

This week left my knees covered in dirt, sore from long days in the field during the hottest stretch of the season. But when I look back on it, what I remember most isn’t the work.

It’s the people.

Women showed up. Couples showed up. Hands joined mine in the rebuilding. After losing so much to the storm, there were moments when the fields felt empty. But this week reminded me that while crops can be lost, community cannot.

Then on Friday, we welcomed 17 Little Sprouts and their families to the farm. We chased animals, dug in the dirt, and shared the joy of gardening with the next generation. Watching children fall in love with the garden will never stop feeling like a gift.

That evening, we returned to the Friday Night Market with The Elizabeth Brewing Company , reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new friends. Thank you to every person who stopped by, shared a conversation, purchased a plant/bouquet, or simply encouraged us along the way.

And today, I had the honor of creating flowers for someone’s wedding day. Few things feel more meaningful than being trusted with the blooms that will become part of one of the most cherished memories in someone’s life. To everyone who recommends Shari Ann Farms for these opportunities, thank you. Your trust means more than you know.

Nature may have wiped out much of what we planted, but somehow I’ve never felt more planted in this community.

The fields are being rebuilt.
The flowers will grow again.
But this week reminded me that the greatest harvest has always been the people.

Turns out this is pretty solid career advice.

I’ve been busy potting up seedlings for tomorrow at the Elbert County Marketplace, and I can’t wait to share them with our community. We’ll have tomatoes, peppers, dill, cilantro, parsley, sage, thyme, celery, cabbage, kale, spinach, lemon balm, catnip, and more ready for their new homes.

Come shop local, support small businesses, and browse all the incredible vendors that make this market such a special part of our community.

🌱 At this month’s Little Sprouts, our tiny gardeners got their hands dirty building their very own mini worm farms in mason jars, learning firsthand that some of nature’s hardest workers are the ones we rarely see.

We talked about composting, decomposition, healthy soil, and how worms quietly help gardens thrive from the ground up. And yes… every child went home with their own pet worms.

These classes are about so much more than a craft or activity.

They are about raising curious kids.
Teaching them where food comes from.
Helping them understand the rhythms of nature.
Creating space for wonder, messy hands, questions, and community.

Thank you to every family who continues to show up month after month and trust me with your little ones. It is such a joy to teach these children and watch their confidence grow alongside the garden.

Next month at Little Sprouts, we’ll be exploring the wildflowers growing around the farm, learning how to identify what’s blooming, why pollinators need them, and letting the kids experience the beauty of summer on the property.

If your child loves nature, digging in the dirt, collecting treasures, or asking a million questions about bugs and flowers… this is for them.
