October has arrived at the farm, and I think she deserves flowers. 🎃

Introducing our Fresh Flower Pumpkin Centerpieces — a little bit of the garden and a whole lot of fall wrapped into one arrangement.

Each $45 centerpiece is filled with fresh-cut, locally grown flowers tucked into a sweet faux pumpkin vessel. And because the pumpkin isn’t real, you can use it again and again — refill it with flowers, dried stems, or your own seasonal touches for falls to come.

Whether this is the first little piece of fall you bring into your home, the finishing touch on a table already covered in pumpkins, or the centerpiece for a cozy dinner with people you love, these were made to celebrate this beautiful season. 🤎

I’m only making 8 for this weekend, so this will be a very limited release! They’ll be coming to the website soon for local delivery around Kiowa, Elizabeth, Elbert & Parker.

🌱 This morning, 24 little sprouts joined me on the farm to learn seed saving from sunflowers and make birdhouses for feathered friends — covered in seeds, dried fruit, and probably a little more peanut butter than necessary. 😂

But Little Sprouts has never really been about the craft.

My heart behind these mornings is to give children a place to slow down, get their hands dirty, learn something new, and experience the wonder of God’s creation firsthand.

I want them to know where things grow.
To notice the birds.
To touch the flowers.
To ask questions.
To create something with their own two hands.

And maybe, years from now, something small from these mornings will stick with them — a love for growing things, a curiosity about the natural world, or simply the memory of a morning spent outside on a farm.

Today was especially sweet because there were so many familiar little faces walking through the gate, along with some brand-new ones. 🤍

To every parent who continues to bring your children here: thank you.

Thank you for trusting me with a piece of their morning. Thank you for believing in what I’m trying to create here. And thank you for letting Shari Ann Farms be one small part of their childhood.

24 little birdhouses went home today, but I hope we planted a few little seeds, too. 🌱

Our newest employee works for snacks. 🐰🌿

And she’s helping prep something NEW at Shari Ann Farms…

🌸 DIY FLOWER BUCKETS! 🌸

For $75, you’ll receive a bucket filled with 42 farm-grown stems from our fields:

🌼 12 focal flowers
🌸 15 filler flowers
🌿 15 textural stems

Enough flowers to create approximately 6-8 small arrangements, one large statement arrangement, or a couple of medium-sized centerpieces.

Perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, dinner parties, birthdays, church gatherings—or simply for the person who loves arranging flowers.

Each bucket will vary based on what’s blooming and beautiful in the fields that week, so no two will ever be exactly alike.

You get the flowers. You get to be the designer. 💐

And our tiny employee gets the leaves. 🐰😂

Turns out this is pretty solid career advice.

I’ve been busy potting up seedlings for tomorrow at the Elbert County Marketplace, and I can’t wait to share them with our community. We’ll have tomatoes, peppers, dill, cilantro, parsley, sage, thyme, celery, cabbage, kale, spinach, lemon balm, catnip, and more ready for their new homes.

Come shop local, support small businesses, and browse all the incredible vendors that make this market such a special part of our community.

🌱 At this month’s Little Sprouts, our tiny gardeners got their hands dirty building their very own mini worm farms in mason jars, learning firsthand that some of nature’s hardest workers are the ones we rarely see.

We talked about composting, decomposition, healthy soil, and how worms quietly help gardens thrive from the ground up. And yes… every child went home with their own pet worms.

These classes are about so much more than a craft or activity.

They are about raising curious kids.
Teaching them where food comes from.
Helping them understand the rhythms of nature.
Creating space for wonder, messy hands, questions, and community.

Thank you to every family who continues to show up month after month and trust me with your little ones. It is such a joy to teach these children and watch their confidence grow alongside the garden.

Next month at Little Sprouts, we’ll be exploring the wildflowers growing around the farm, learning how to identify what’s blooming, why pollinators need them, and letting the kids experience the beauty of summer on the property.

If your child loves nature, digging in the dirt, collecting treasures, or asking a million questions about bugs and flowers… this is for them.
