I’m a big fan of all of this.

Aged brass, hand-veined marble, reclaimed wood, warm plaster… The details that don’t shout, they linger. This is the mood board that’s been living in my head lately: the textures and finishes we keep reaching for, project after project, because they only get better with time.

Save this for your renovation inspiration board. Which detail are you most drawn to?

Your contractor is ready to build. But first, they need answers.

Where does the towel bar go? How high is the shower niche? Does the vanity drawer clear the plumbing? Where does the tile start, stop, and transition?

These aren’t decisions you want to make while your bathroom is already torn apart.

A designer works through the details before construction begins, so when your contractor has questions, the answers are already there.

Hire the designer before you call the contractor. Your remodel will thank you.

The tile you love is the easy part.

The framing issue caught before drywall goes up.
The rough-in flagged before it’s buried in the wall. Standing over the tile setter to check the pattern before it’s grouted in for good.
Confirming every cabinet reveal and hardware line, down to the millimeter.

None of it makes it into the after photos.

Then the room comes together — and it looks effortless. That’s the point. A beautiful space isn’t proof that nothing went wrong. It’s proof that someone was there catching it when it did.

Save this for the next time someone asks what an interior designer actually does.

The homeowner thinks, “We have great taste, this remodel will be easy”. They did not, it turns out, have opinions on Schluter.

Every renovation starts the same way: you already know what you want. The tile, the layout, the light fixtures — decided. Easy.

Then construction starts, and “we know what we want” turns out to be the first of about two thousand decisions.

Hiring a designer means having the questions answered before they’re even asked.

Not everything in a remodel needs to be new. Sometimes the most meaningful pieces are the ones that already belong to the family.

These chairs have been passed down through multiple women in one family, carrying decades of stories with them.

While the bones, lines, and classic style were fantastic, the fabric had become worn and dated. Rather than replacing them, we reimagined the chairs with a subtle blue textured fabric and bold velvet accents that feel fresh while still honoring their history.

Now these heirloom chairs are ready to be enjoyed by the next generation. ♻️💙
