This is what happens when a basement becomes so much more than extra square footage. 🎰

One space to sit back and relax, another to gather around the table, a movie room tucked behind the doors, and down the hall, an entire room dedicated to games.

But what really gives this basement its personality is the artwork and character carried throughout each space. There's something different around every corner, while it still feels like one connected part of the home.

Even before the furniture came in, the lighting gave this dining room plenty of character. The statement fixture overhead and accent lighting frame the space, but seeing it furnished is when you can really picture the dinners, conversations, and time spent around the table.

Tucked just behind the kitchen, this space has not one, but two entrances. One is hidden within the kitchen cabinetry, while the other brings you through this beautiful statement door.

Inside, there's plenty of cabinetry, counter space, open shelving, and even another island. A pretty good surprise to have hiding behind the kitchen.

The large island gives this kitchen plenty of room to gather, while the dark cabinetry, natural wood details, and open shelving give the space its character.

An upstairs living space with a little something extra!

Just off this second-floor sitting area is a covered balcony overlooking the front of the home. Whether is becomes a spot for morning coffee, a couple of chairs for winding down or simply a way to step outside and enjoy the view, it gives the upstairs so much more potential.

Sometimes it's the spaces you don't expect that end up being some of the best parts of a custom home.
