Some leaves apparently wake up and choose SUNSHINE! 💛😂

I mean, look at this plant! Those splashes of bright yellow against all that deep green look like someone took a paintbrush, dipped it in sunshine, and just started having fun. ☀️🎨🌿

This is exactly why I wanted to spend a couple of weeks focusing only on leaves. You don’t need a single flower when the greenery is putting on a show like THIS! 💚💛

Welcome to my newest shopping destination… my own storage unit. 😂🛒

While we wait for construction to be finished so I can get into my new garage studio, almost ALL of my Shop Paradise Creations supplies are living right here. 😳

And THIS is exactly why I took the time to organize everything into clear bins before we moved!

When I’m ready to create, I come here and basically shop my own inventory. 😂 I grab the florals, greenery, ribbon, mechanics and whatever else I need for that project, then take it back to the condo where I’m temporarily creating.

🌸 Florals are separated
🌿 Greenery is organized
🎀 Ribbon is together
🎃 Seasonal goodies have their own bins
🧰 Mechanics and supplies are grouped
👀 And those clear bins let me SEE what I have!

Is it a little packed in here? Ummm… YES. 😂 But because I organized BEFORE the move, I can actually find what I need without digging through a mountain of mystery boxes.

✨ TODAY’S TIP: If you ever have to temporarily store your craft supplies, organize and label them like you’ll still need to USE them — because you probably will!

For now, I’ll just keep visiting my little Shop Paradise Creations supply warehouse, filling my arms with goodies, and heading back to the condo to create. 😂🌸❤️

📦🌿 Creating looks a little different right now!

We have officially arrived in Cocoa Beach, but my new studio is going to have to wait just a little longer. With construction keeping me out of the garage for the next few weeks, Shop Paradise Creations is temporarily working out of a storage unit! 😂

Thankfully, I planned ahead and organized everything into bins before the move because Etsy doesn’t care that my studio is currently packed in boxes! 😂 If an order comes in, I still need to be ready to go.

So today’s little video is a peek behind the scenes at how I’m making this temporary setup work. Maybe it’ll even give someone a few ideas if life ever has you moving or working out of bins too.

The Long Game 🌿

Okay, THIS is exactly why Leaves Edition has made it into a second week! Just look at the architecture of this Century Plant. 😍🌿

And then I learned what this beauty actually does…

🌿 It can spend 8–30 YEARS growing this enormous rosette of leaves.
🌿 A single leaf can grow to around 6 FEET LONG!
🌿 The entire plant can stretch roughly 12 feet across.
🌿 After ALL those years, it finally sends up one gigantic flower stalk—sometimes around 20 feet tall.
🌿 It blooms ONE TIME, and then the main plant eventually dies, often leaving little “pups” behind to start the process all over again.

I mean…nature is just COOL. 😂 And this beauty spent decades proving that leaves can absolutely be the main attraction. 💚🌿

A Living Paint Palette of Color 🎨🌿

And now we’ve reached my absolute FAVORITE Florida plant—the croton! ❤️💛💚🧡 I mean, look at those leaves. Burgundy, red, green, yellow, orange…all growing together on ONE plant. No flowers necessary!

This beauty is also about to become part of a little personal experiment. 😂 When we get settled into our new condo, a croton will be the very first plant I buy for our patio. I have had a black thumb my entire life, but I am officially attempting to keep my first plant alive. 🪴😂

So perhaps Petals in Paradise is about to become part nature photography…and part “Will Karyn Keep the Croton Alive?” Stay tuned. 😂🌿

🇬🇧 I FINALLY LEFT THE HOUSE! 🇬🇧😂

After being stuck inside sick for the entire past week, tonight I finally felt well enough to venture out for dinner with Chris — and I think we may have already found ourselves a new regular spot here in Cocoa Beach! ❤️

We tried Pig & Whistle, a little English pub right here in town, and it was exactly the kind of place we love. Cozy, casual, full of character, and some seriously good comfort food!

🐟 Fish & chips for me
🇬🇧 Bangers & mash for Chris
🍻 And a whole lot of English pub atmosphere!

Even the decor made it feel like we had stepped into a neighborhood pub across the pond. And of course, I couldn’t walk past that incredible wall of succulents outside without taking a picture. 🌿😂

After a week of staring at the same four walls, getting dressed, getting out of the house and enjoying a good meal together felt pretty darn wonderful.

Pig & Whistle English Pub I have a feeling you’ll be seeing us again! 🇬🇧🍻❤️
