Hi Plant People! It’s Jade your plant lady! I’ve got some bittersweet but also exciting news to share. Oglewood Avenue has been a labor of love for the last 6 years. The shop started from a simple Facebook post during the pandemic as a 22 year old with no idea about her future and no business experience. Oglewood has been my entire life for the last half decade and your support, love, community efforts, and kindness has meant the absolute world to me. Words don’t begin to describe all the ways you all have changed my life for the better. You’ve shown up for this shop, my team, and me in so many ways. You allowed us to make Knoxville greener one houseplant at a time and help grow your green thumb. You made this city my home and my heart. I can’t thank you enough for letting us grow with you.
At 29, I’m ready to close the plant season of my life and grow in different ways (plant pun intended) Last year, I realized I absolutely love hospitality, beverage creation, and serving the city through social gatherings and community with and . I also LOVE North Knoxville and this white brick building I’ve called home here at Oglewood.
This is where the news gets better! Oglewood is closing, however, the building still has a lot of life left in it! We will be opening a new concept and coffee shop here in Fall of 2026.
Oglewood will be closing Mid May with sidewalk sales happening on the weekends. As a thank you, all plants and goods in the shop will be 20% from now until May. We will still be doing markets and plants shows from now until the summer.
To everyone who has walked through our doors, we thank you so much for being apart of our story. To Oglewoods team members past & present, thank you for everything. To my family, mommy & dad, & my husband Dylan thank you for supporting all my dreams and concepts. To Knoxville, there’s no other city in the universe I’d rather have planted roots in. Thank you for making my dreams come true. You’ve given me the journey of a lifetime.
