Beautiful ashtray-
This is a Limoges tray that has been outfitted with metal hardware.
The technique is called Ormolu, which is a French method of gilding metal. This technique was often used to embellish regular items to make them extraordinary!

I know many of you admire Majolica- This set was Custom made for the Duke in 1576
The rest of the pictures is the Dining Room, where the service was used.

It is not uncommon to find in reputable Antique proprietors that deal in documented porcelain.
Be wary as it seems because everybody's cousin's brother's uncle's wife worked in the castle....
Pictured below is some antique Meissen cup and saucer. Note the gold trim. This trim style is common and always catches my eye.
We have antique Miessen at the store.
Did I tell you about my great uncle's cousin thrice removed incharge of the privy at the castle?
