⏲️ The Shortcut: The slow cooker does the work and keeps the dip warm for serving.
This crockpot jalapeño popper dip is an easy party appetizer that works for game day, holidays, or casual get-togethers. Cream cheese, sour cream, and cheddar melt together with diced jalapeños, then get finished with crispy bacon for a dip that stays creamy and scoopable.
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 medium jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon
Sliced green onion, optional for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Lightly spray a 2-quart crockpot with nonstick spray.
Add the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, diced jalapeños, and cheddar cheese to the crockpot. Stir to combine as best you can.
Cover and cook on Low for 1½ to 2½ hours, stirring every 30 to 45 minutes, until the dip is hot, smooth, and bubbly.
While the dip cooks, cook the bacon, drain the grease, and crumble or chop into small pieces.
Stir most of the bacon into the dip just before serving, reserving some for topping.
Set the slow cooker to Warm or transfer to a serving dish. Top with remaining bacon and sliced green onion if using.
