I’m Dr. Lamar Johnson.
And I’ll say something many people in medicine think privately but rarely say out loud:
Modern medicine is incredible in emergencies.
If you’re having a heart attack, a stroke, a serious infection, or a traumatic injury — you want the hospital. You want the medication. You want the specialist.
But somewhere along the way, we started treating every chronic problem like it was only a prescription problem.
High blood sugar? Pill.
High blood pressure? Pill.
Poor sleep? Pill.
Low energy? Pill.
Inflammation? Pill.
And very few people stop to ask:
Why is this happening in the first place?
That’s the part I care about.
Because most people don’t get sick overnight. Their body gives warnings for years: fatigue, cravings, belly fat, brain fog, poor sleep, rising blood sugar, joint pain, low stamina.
But instead of teaching people what those signs mean, the system often waits until the problem is “bad enough” to medicate.
I’m not anti-medicine.
I’m anti-ignoring the root cause.
I’m anti-telling people their only option is to manage decline.
I’m anti-pretending lifestyle, food, movement, sleep, stress, and metabolic health are “alternative” when they should be the foundation.
The truth is, no company makes billions when you learn how to become less dependent on their product.
So on this page, I’ll be sharing honest, practical health information — the kind of conversations patients deserve to have before things become serious.
No fear tactics.
No miracle cures.
No blind trust in industry marketing.
Just real education, common sense, and a patient-first approach.
Because your body is not broken.
But it may be trying to get your attention.
