It’s been a busy few months, but in between the chaos of life, I had a custom order to recreate a family’s beloved hex sign - and I absolutely love how this piece turned out! This piece features a 24” hex sign mounted on a 27.5” frame made of old barn wood - sealed and ready to be displayed as a nod to this family’s history.

My family and I just recently got back from a cross-country road trip…and look what I found along the way! These were just a few of the many that I saw - so many different patterns and colors.

Many farms and houses have barn stars (also known as hex signs) because they are believed to bring protection, luck, and prosperity. Although others believe that they are “chust for pretty” 😂

Whatever you believe - they are beautiful to see!

A new year always gets me in that organizing and purging mood… and apparently that includes my workshop too!

Another custom order for Christmas! 🤗

I had a customer contact me several months ago asking if I could recreate a hex sign that was on her grandfather’s barn, which she would gift to her family since this would be the first Christmas without him.

I loved the idea of creating such a beautiful memento, but was worried once I saw how intricate the hex sign actually was - it was a design I had never attempted before and I wanted to do the design justice for her grandfather and her family. After a lot of trial and error (and some tricky math🤪), I was really happy with how they turned out!

Hopefully these signs brought their family as much joy as they brought me❤️
