Satisfaction of project completion! Now we can take a breather and think about something else, although it seems we are always on the hunt to gather props for the next display!

Lori's suggestion to add the 3 crows was a good one as they brought distinct character! On a wild impulse, Jan dug the running horse weathervane out of her garage while loading up the SUV the night before and thought he might be a nice touch. With a little ingenuity, Lori adapted a shorter lightning rod she had that gave him the right height.

The artist made field mice are not old, but charming little fellows! Their presence adds a bit of whimsy to the overall effect.

The "Truckin' Into Fall" display was a wrap on Tuesday, although we occasionally add a piece here or there the entire time it is up.
The antique copper running horse weathervane was a challenge on the slanted kiosk tin roof, but Lori brought a portable drill and screwed the lightning rod post securely.
